A framework for NHS Scotland organisations and employees

The Scottish Government recognise that as plans are implemented across the Health and Social Care system to respond to the increased demands on services caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be significant challenges for resources, including staff.
In recognition of this, the Scottish Government has been working to collate the guidance that we would endorse for use by NHS Scotland employers to support the workforce. The aim of this resource is to make it easier for employers and employees to identify and access the relevant guidance for their role. This resource can also be used by social care employers, with the caveat that supplementary guidance on terms and conditions only applies to NHS Scotland staff.
As the COVID-19 pandemic is a rapidly developing situation, this information and endorsed guidance will be updated and supplemented as relevant national guidance changes.
It is important that this document is viewed online to ensure the most up to date information is received – any downloaded versions are only accurate as of the day of publication online.
